Wireless Wave Division Multiplexer

Wireless Wave Division Multiplexing (WWDM) allows Bluwan’s FTTA to aggregate multiple independent channels onto a single air interface, in much the same way as optical multiplexing combines different wavelengths into a single fibre to increase capacity.

Bluwan’s patented WWDM technology enables service providers to deliver tailored bandwidth across a geographically dispersed array of end points. This allows a wide variety of applications within a single system.

FTTA Access Multiplexer

The FTTA Access Wireless Wave Division Multiplexer (WWDM) is a patented, multiplexing, power supply, level control and monitoring unit for L band intermediate frequencies, combining multiple channels to one cable and radio.

  • Intermediate Frequency: 950 - 2150 MHz
  • RF Ports:
    • Input: 3 x SMA ports (for modems)
    • Input: 1 x F-type port (for side-loaded Satellite TV)
    • Output: 2 x N ports (2nd port for redundancy)
  • Gain: 0 -21 dB (1 dB steps)
  • Dimension: 445 x 390 x 44 mm
  • Weight: 4 kg

FTTA Backhaul Multiplexer

The Backhaul WWDM operates at C band (5 - 6 GHz) intermediate frequencies, aggregating several Ethernet radio modems on to a FTTA ultra wideband transceiver.

  • Intermediate Frequency: 5 - 6 GHz
  • RF Ports
    • Input: 4 to 20 x SMA ports (for modems)
    • Output: 2 x N-type ports (for Tx and Rx radios)
  • Port to Port Isolation: > 20 dB (between Tx and Rx port)
  • Dimension: 445 x 225 x 44 mm
  • Weight: 3 kg
